Video and Voice Chat in Gmail

Though I haven’t tested it myself I heard yesterday that google announced they have included video and voice chat in gmail. I always liked gmail more than other mail services because I found its spam system better than others and it also seemed very easy to use to me. But for chatting I always used Yahoo messenger as with yahoo I could do voice chat something that gmail chat didn’t offer untill yesterday.

Gmail users with webcams can do video chats with their friends with the help of their webcams through online mailbox pages by installing software plug-ins which are available online at gmail.com/videochat or you can even install it when you run the video chat or voice chat for the first time.

The best thing about this is that this service is said to be similar to eBay’s Skype which I think is better than yahoo and it works on Apple Macintosh computers and Microsft’s Windows PC.

Sounds great to me. Keenly looking forward to use it.
